The Crisis: Domestic Violence, Homelessness & Financial Security

Empowering Women, Transforming Lives
Women Wealth Warriors is a platform dedicated to empowering women to create the life they envision for themselves and their families through entrepreneurship and financial empowerment.
One of the biggest barriers preventing domestic violence survivors from leaving their abusers is financial abuse—a form of control that restricts access to money, employment, and financial independence. 99% of domestic violence survivors experience financial abuse, making it nearly impossible for them to break free and rebuild their lives.

Domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness among women in Los Angeles County.

Women entrepreneurs are a powerful force in the economy:
   •   Women-owned businesses account for 42% of all businesses in the U.S., generating nearly $1.9 trillion in revenue.
   •   Women of color are the fastest-growing segment of entrepreneurs.
   •   However, women still receive less than 2% of venture capital funding and face significant barriers to financial stability.

Without financial stability, survivors often face poverty, housing insecurity, and continued cycles of abuse.
